New Poll!!!!

Prove me to me that people actually read this blog and vote in my poll at the bottom of the site...Which Stallone movie should I watch???

Team America: World Police

Team America: World Police

Title: Team America

Length: 1:38

In What room I watched it in: Bedroom

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: This movie is hilarious, though kinda disappointed I didn’t get the extended version.

15 word plot summary: The world is at war and only one group can save it. The Team America

Awesomest Character: Alec Baldwin

…no it’s not the real Alec Baldwin is a puppet of Alec Baldwin voiced by someone else. Why is he awesome, because he is constantly referred to as the greatest actor of all time and is the head of Film Actors Guild…or F.A.G. Though he ultimately is killed, he was the awesomest

Favorite Quote: “Matt Damon”-Matt Damon

"Matt Damon"

Random actor: Maurice LaMarche as the voice of Alec Baldwin. Random because he’s also the voice of Pinky from Pinky and the Brain as well as Kiff from Futurama. Oh and he’s also Toucan Sam

Do they say the title in the movie: They do say Team America quite a bit.

Best Scene: The dicks, pussies and a-holes speech.

When will I feel the need to watch it again: Soon, funny funny movie

I'm so ronery

Best IMDB fact: Originally, Matt Damon (who Trey Parker and Matt Stone have admitted is really a "pretty cool guy") was going to be portrayed as intelligent and articulate, but when they saw the puppet, they noted that it made him "look retarded" and decided to portray him as such.

SpongeBob Squarepants the Movie

The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie

The winner by one vote in my poll (though I only had 13 total votes, hopefully more on my next poll...So here you go.

Title: The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

Length: 1:27

In What room I watched it in: Living Room

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: Well that summer I didn’t have a job and had to kill time before camp started so I started watching Spongebob episodes obsessively as it was the only thing on. Logically the next step was to own this awesome movie.

15 word plot summary: Spongebob has to find King Neptune’s crown. Becomes a man in the end, sans moustache

Awesomest Character: Patrick Star, duh.

Words cannot describe what is going on in this scene

Patrick is always awesome. An hour and a half of Patrick is even awesomer. Between parachuting naked to Spongebob’s fake celebration, to eating too much ice cream, to costing Spongebob four days to rescue the crown, he just is the greatest.

Favorite Quote: Old Lady: [about Spongebob] NuckleHead McSpazatron!

Random actor: Alec Baldwin as Dennis, the villain.

Yeah way too random for Baldwin to do this voice. Recognized when watching the movie, Alec Baldwin is awesome.

Do they say the title in the movie: Yes, yes they do…the pirate says it early on.

Best Scene: The Goofy Goober scene where Patrick and Spongebob get wasted off of ice cream.

When will I feel the need to watch it again: If its on TV, I’ll prob watch it.

Wayyyyyyyyytttttttttttooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Best IMDB fact:. SpongeBob has worked for the Krusty Krab for at least 31 years, according to his 374 consecutive Employee of the Month awards. He is mentioned as a kid, but it makes sense because sponges can live to be 500 years old.

Ocean's Eleven

Ocean's Eleven

Title: Ocean’s Eleven

Length: 1:56

In What room I watched it in: Living Room

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: It’s a really good. Plus you miss out on a bunch of the good scenes when it’s on TNT or TBS.

15 word plot summary: A bunch of famous people decide to rob a casino. In the end they succeed.

Awesomest Character: Don Cheadle as Basher Tarr. Why is Cheadle the Awesomest character when you have awesome actors like Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon, mainly because you have no clue what he is saying most of the movie and he has this ridiculous fake accent. The best part is that his name is not even in the credits. He’s a main character but yet managed to get his name uncredited. Randomly awesome.

"Without one we are in barney"

Favorite Quote: Reuben: If you're gonna steal from Terry Benedict, you'd better goddamn KNOW. This sorta thing used to be civilized, you'd hit a guy, he'd whack you, done. But with Benedict... at the end of this, he'd BETTER not know you're involved, not know your names or think you're dead because he'll kill ya, and then he'll go to work on ya.

Random actor: Jerry Weintraub as High Roller.

This guy is in every Las Vegas movie I’ve seen over the years. You may remember him from Vegas Vacation as Gilly from Philly, the guy who takes Rusty aka Nick Papagiorgio around Vegas. He’s also in the other two Ocean’s Eleven movies.

Do they say the title in the movie: No, but they say it in the sequel.

Best Scene: The scene with Bernie Mac and Matt Damon arguing while Damon is impersonating a casino inspector. Really funny scene.

When will I feel the need to watch it again: A few months from now. This movie is very rewatchable.

Best IMDB fact: George Clooney had a keg of Guinness installed in his dressing room.

The Da Vinci Code

The DaVinci Code

Title: The Da Vinci Code

Length: 2:29

In What room I watched it in: Living Room

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: Well I’m currently reading The Lost Symbol that is the Da Vinci Code’s sequel, so why not.

15 word plot summary: There are codes and hidden meanings behind everything. Even when it comes to Jesus stuff.

Awesomest Character: Mary Magdalene.

Sure not really in the movie, but everything evolves around her in it. She seems pretty awesome according to Tom Hanks and Ian McKellen’s convo in the movie.

Favorite Quote: Sir Leigh Teabing: “Did that old cannabis charge finally catch up with me?”

Random actor: Jurgen Prochnow who plays the banker Andre Vernet. Why so random? Basically I recognize this guy as the main bad guy in Beerfest. He’s also on this season of 24.

Das Boot!

Do they say the title in the movie: No, but they do say Da Vinci a bunch of times.

Best Scene: The best scene is the one where they are looking at the Last Supper painting and are learning all about the history of the Holy Grail. Interesting stuff.

When will I feel the need to watch it again: Maybe after I finish the book and after I watch Angels and Demons

Yeah, I'm watching you too

Best IMDB fact: "24" (2001) creator Joel Surnow thought that "The DaVinci Code" would provide a great storyline for the show's third season. Surnow asked his boss, producer Brian Grazer about acquiring the film rights to the book. Author Dan Brown had no intention of his book being adapted for a TV show, and rejected their bid. Months later, Sony Pictures paid $6 million for the book and hired Grazer as producer.

Star Trek

Star Trek

Title: Star Trek

Length: 2:07

In What room I watched it in: Living room

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: Well I just bought and was in the mood. Plus, what else do I have to do with my time while I apply for jobs.

15 word plot summary: Kirk! Spock! Older Spock! The Enterprise! All back for another movie! Younger actors, new film.

Awesomest Character: Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy.

I’ve seen Karl Urban in a bunch of movies as this really cool, tough guy character like in Doom, the second two Lord of the Rings movies and the second Bourne movie, but in this movie he plays an iconic character from the old Star Trek movies and television series and honestly makes you believe that he was a younger version of DeForest Kelly. He even says all of “Bones’” trademark lines and is so awesome that he beat out Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk as the awesomest character despite Kirk being awesome himself.

Favorite Quote: Scotty: Are you from the future?
James T. Kirk: Yeah, he is. I'm not.
Scotty: Well, that's brilliant. Do they still have sandwiches there?

Random actor: Two for this one, one is in the movie for like two seconds, the other a few minutes. First off is the quick random one. Bob Clendenin otherwise known as the swinging’ Dr. Zeltzer on Scrubs, in this movie he plays a character called in the credits, Shipyard Worker. He’s literally in the movie for less than 30 seconds as he walks with Kirk as he enters the training facility.

Better watch quickly or you'll miss me in this movie!

The most random would be Tyler Perry as Admiral Richard Barnett who is in charge of both of Kirk’s hearings at Starfleet. Why he’s in this movie as such a minor character is very random…Tyler Perry’s a big deal.

Tyler Perry did not dress as Madea in this movie unfortunately

Do they say the title in the movie: Nope

Best Scene: My favorite scene is when Kirk is taking the unbeatable test engineered by Spock and beats it. He’s so relaxed while eating his apple and the test ship is about to explode that it’s really entertaining.

When will I feel the need to watch it again: Probably sooner rather than later…I really like this movie as I saw it twice in the theater.

Best IMDB fact: The captain asks for crew with hand-to-hand combat training. Sulu volunteers, then later reveals his only real training is fencing. This is a tip of the hat to George Takei, who played the original Sulu from "Star Trek" (1966). Takei has admitted in interviews that he was so eager to keep his job that he falsely claimed to know fencing and was forced to learn it immediately for an episode.

District 9

District 9

Well this movie is up for a Best Picture Oscar. Probably not going to win but still an awesome movie!

Title: District 9

Length: 1:51

In What room I watched it in: Bedroom

Who I’m watching it with: Myself

Reason I bought the DVD: Previews freaked me out, heard it was really good. So of course I had to purchase this movie.

15 word plot summary: Aliens come to Earth. Live in South Africa in a quarantined area. One man suffers.

Awesomest Character: Christopher Johnson’s son. Christopher Johnson is one of “prawns” or aliens in the movie, but his son is somehow kind of cute even though he looks like a bug. This little character manages to fix a spaceship and holds down the fort in District 9 while his father and the main human character get what is needed for the ship. While his father is imprisoned, he helps the human character fly the small ship, or at least attempts to help. Pretty awesome character.

My son was the best character

Favorite Quote: “Could you go a bit slower with the clicks there, it sounded like you said ‘three years’.

Random actor: Well this is tough since the movie used a bunch of unknowns but I’m going to go a different way with this and say the main character Sharlto Copley mainly because this was his first acting role his second will be in the upcoming A-Team movie which looks awesome. Apparently he is one of the A-Team guys so that’s pretty random.

I'll be pretty random once my next movie comes out,

Do they say the title in the movie: Like every ten seconds.

Best Scene: The best scene is the rescue scene of the object from the secure bunker that will help fly the small spacecraft to the larger one. The alien, Christopher Johnson, and the main character are searching for this object while firing off these really cool alien weapons. It’s cool to see how they made this scene work

When will I feel the need to watch it again: Probably soon, I really enjoyed it.

I'll be watching you again

Best IMDB fact: "The language used by the aliens (clicking sounds) was created by rubbing a pumpkin."
